Not unless your data source sends you more of the same cave
next week, then you might want to validate against the IDs
given to see that everything still hangs together.
As to using memory locations: Okay that works in C and C++,
but don't try that in Perl, Python or Java. Let's not limit
ourself to a particular language please. I personally couldn't
care if the XML file station ID is used by your program, just that
you use it to notice aliases or detect connectivity and maybe send
it back to me if I ask for it.
