Actually, Andreas has made some very good "scoping" recommendations in
his comments at http://www.karto.ethz.ch/~an/caving/cavexml/issues.html

I posted a message on my opinions of that piece of commentary, but it
seems to have been lost in the chatter. At least no one has felt
compelled to comment on my posting.

I recommend having a look at Andreas comments, and then if you would
take a look at what my response. Some agreeable, some less in agreement.
