That's the authorised version of XML Schema; good, but..

2 Here's a rather more conversational tutorial with an excellent pedigree:

It's a downloadable zip containing:
 two long Powerpoint presentations (so Windows - maybe Mac? - only, I fear)
 the Java JRE1.1
 the XSV schema validator (also available online)
 lots of examples and labs

There's lots to learn, but I'm sure it will help us and give us even more ideas to play around with...

3 If you want to verify why XML Schema seems to be the way to go, maybe along with Schematron, see Lee's article at

there are .ps and .pdf versions of a paper comparing 6 different proposals (I can read the pdf but can't print it)
