If the text gets long, is it really an attribute of the comment or is it just the text of the
comment? A comment (or text or whatever) is, to me, the only valid use of CDATA in the
format.

BTW, I kind of like being able to attribute it to someone.

If the comment was in a survey, wouldn't it just inherit the survey's date?

This is a good usage for CDATA.
