Transformations (was Stations are Primary)

I should also add that I don't want to imply that anyone would ever want
to actually APPLY all (or any) of the transformations we use to define
"semantic equivalence".

The transformations would be strictly a part of the definition of the
meaning of a file. They would allow the meaning of one particular
construct to be defined, the meaning of many (possibly infinitely many)
others would then be defined as being the same as that one.

Particularly, my principles 2 and 3 require no irreversible
transformations may be applied automatically.
