Relax, TRex?

As my test DTD develops, I'm finding there are some capabilities missing in the DTD spec which might cause
problems when using it.

An option is to try Relax or TRex which _might_ handle user defined order better (note: no guarantee). Does
anyone have experience with either? Are they pretty much limited the same way a DTD or Schema is or do
they offer more flexibility?

I know a drawback would be getting tied to either of the tools whereas DTD has a migration utility to
XMLSchema (via perl script).

Opinions?
