There is a tool from XML4Cobol called DTDEditor. It is freeware and pretty easy to use (requires Java 1.1 and Swing).
Unfortunately, it seems to require the DTD start at the largest element and break into smaller elements; trying to put my
DTD through it gave me only the first element. (FWIW, all their examples start big and get smaller but I really don't want to
flip it... again!)
However, it does make it pretty easy to create a DTD and see the tree view of it. You can also create a template XML
document, business objects (?), and a SAX document handler. (Hmmm. maybe I will flip this thing again..)
